Goals of the Programme

  1. To equip persons for teaching the Word of God, and to develop academic proficiency for independent research.
  2. To develop the student’s ability to articulate and defend the uniqueness and inerrancy of the Word of God.
  3. To train the student to demonstrate high communication skills necessary for an effective teaching ministry.

M.Th. is offered only in English medium.

Graduation Requirements

  1. Successful completion of 70 credits of course work for those who join with M. Div. Successful completion of 80 credits of course work for those who join with B. D. or M. B. S. Successful completion of 120 credits of course work for those who join with a bachelor degree. Each credit amounts to 16 class hours consisting of 50 minutes and 32 hours of research. Thus, a four-credit course involves 64 hours of class room study and 128 hours of research.
  2. An assessment of teaching ability based on the performance of teaching practicum in the B.Th. Level
  3. .An assessment of Field education involvement. Field education at BBI assists students to learn about the practice of ministry through direct involvement in the assembly assigned, under the direction of the Academic Dean. Students are required to complete two years of planned, supervised, and evaluated field education in a setting approved by the Academic Dean. 
  4. Successful completion of an approved thesis of not less than 30,000 words.
  5. Successful completion of an oral and written Comprehensive examination covering the course work and thesis.

curriculum for M. TH. residential programme

A student of the M. B. S. programme should do all the courses offered for the P. G. Class except those courses dealing with the Syntax and Exegesis. Basic Hebrew and Greek are required. 

A student of the M. Div. and M. Th. programmes should do all the courses offered for the P. G. Class including the courses dealing with the Biblical languages.
