Every one admitted as a student in the BBI as well as in the boarding should consider it as a privilege. All the students should acknowledge this and behave decently. They have to shareindividual responsibilities for the healthy and spiritual atmosphere of the Institute. Each and every student should abide by the following rules and regulations.
1. Top priority is given to discipline. A true disciple of Jesus Christ should strictly observe discipline. Only a disciplined person can lead others to true disciplined life.
2. Modesty in hairstyle and daily shaving are essential in the BBI.
3. Personal hygiene and cleanliness are very important. It is the bounden duty of each student in the BBI to keep his allotted space given for his abode, the toilet/bathroom he uses and the premises of the Institute clean and tidy. It should be borne in mind that servants are not engaged for this purpose.
4. Unity and cooperation as the members of the body of the Lord should always be maintained among students. Groupism of any kind brought to notice will be dealt with seriously.
5. Quarrels and shoutings are forbidden. If there occur any problem or difference of opinion among the students, such matters should be settled or compromised in a Christian spirit. In case where they cannot settle the matters among themselves such cases may be referred to the Warden/Academic Dean/Registrar/Secretary/Principal.
6. Students should always believe in the spirit of oneness and extend courtesy in all respects and help each other.
7. Domestic as well as any other duties related with the functioning of the institute assigned to the students from time to time should be carried out by each of them willingly and cheerfully.
8. Sickness of any kind should be reported to the Warden through the Sick Leaders immediately and their instructions have to be followed.
9. Students should not cause damages to any of the properties of the BBI. In case any damage is caused, the student concerned will have to replace the same intact at his expense.
10. Students should refrain from indulging in any activity which may mar the reputation of the BBI.Association with political parties or unions or any other associations unbecoming of a child of God will be viewed seriously and it may result in the dismissal of the student concerned from the Institute.
11. Students should respect and carry out the instructions of the faculty.
12. Attendance in all the classes is compulsory. Prior permission should be obtained from the Principal before absenting from the class.
13. There should be no private cooking arrangements within the campus. If anyone wants to offer a special meal to the students, they need to contact the Principal for the same.
14. Students should be present in all the activities of the BBI. They may bear in mind that the BBI will have regular out door evangelistic activities and they are expected to participate as directed by the leader appointed from time to time.
15. Every student is expected to complete the full course of study. In case, he discontinues the course any time, he will be liable to pay the expenses which the BBI had incurred on his behalf till the date of such discontinuance.
16. Students are expected to have their conversation in English. Use of any other language is discouraged. Violation of this rule will be punished with a fine or imposition.
17. Students should make use of the arrangements made by BBI for despatch and receiving of the mail.
18. Without the permission of the Warden, no student is expected to go outside the campus. Students should fill and carry the outgoing pass signed by the Warden / Registrar / Principal / Teacher and keep a record of that in the outgoing register. This rule is applicable even if they are sent out for BBI purposes. Only leaders are spared from taking the outgoing pass when they go for official purposes.
19. Students are not permitted to visit their homes during the weekends except in exceptional circumstances. They should obtain previous permission in such occasion and they should apply for leave in the prescribed form. The application for leave can be obtained from the Principal. Then the student has to hand over the permission paper to the Warden in order to get the outgoing pass signed by the Warden. It should be recorded in the outgoing register.
20. As and when tests or examinations are notified, all students should duly present and endeavour to score at least minimum marks required for a pass.

a. Re-examinations shall be arranged when deemed necessary to help the failed candidates for subject concerned on payment of Rupees 100 per subject. If a person fails in more than 6 subjects in first year, he needs to repeat the first-year courses again.
b. 125 days of afternoon Library attendance in an academic year is a must for the day
scholars to be eligible for graduation.
c. Only one leave is permitted per credit hour. For each successive absence/leave, the earned grade will go down to the highest mark of next lower grade.
22. Any malpractice in the examination hall will result in the dismissal of the student.
23. All new students will be on probation for three months. This may be extended further if the faculty considers it necessary. If no progress is seen in the first year, such students will be asked to repeat the first-year course.
24. Any complaint or suggestion about food or accommodation should be made strictly to the Principal without entering into any argument with kitchen staff or any employ attending to the works concerned.
25. Grouping together for debates, arguments, fun, frolic etc. will disturb someone who is studying or meditating, and so is discouraged.
26. All the students should participate in the morning and evening family devotions.
27. Modesty in dress is essential in the BBI. Students are not permitted to go out with half-pants and bunions during the day time. They should wear a shirt to class; they are not permitted to wear T- shirts to class.
28. Library should be used as per the rules and the regulations framed for the use of the same.
29. Students are not permitted to use transistors, MP3 players and iPods in the campus. No student is permitted to watch CD’s during his computer practical hour. CD’s which are helpful to studies can be availed of under the supervision of a teacher.
30. Visitors will be allowed only during the non-class hours. They should not be taken to the rooms.
31. Guest could be entertained at the table only with prior permission from the Warden, or other officials. A designated amount must be paid in the office by the concerned student, if his guest requires food more than once.
32. Students are not permitted to receive or make phone calls (both fixed and mobile) during the class hours, devotion/meditation time and sleeping time (after 10:30 pm). Frequent incoming calls are also discouraged. Day scholars should set their mobile in silent mode when they are in the campus. They are not permitted to receive or make phone calls during the class hours.Students may receive through BBI Phones only during the following time periods: 1.05 pm. to 1.50 pm, 5.10 pm. to 6.20 pm during the class days and 6 am to 6:20 pm on Saturday & Sunday.Married students may get their mobile phones only during the following time periods: 1.05 pm to 1.50 pm, 5.10 pm to 6.20 pm. If any violation is noticed, such students will not be permitted to use
the mobile at any time.
33. Playing cards, chess, or any other time passing games are not permitted.
34. All students are expected to be present on the campus on the reopening day. This applies to the beginning of the academic year and other holidays. Those who come late, having obtained prior permission will be fined Rs. 100/day and those who come late, not having obtained prior permission will be fined Rs. 500/day or suspended or both.
35. Students will be sent to nearby assembly halls for worship. Field education at BBI assists students to learn about the practice of ministry through direct involvement in the assembly assigned, under the guidance of the Principal.
36. Marital arrangements while studying at BBI should be with the permission of the Principal. It should not affect the classes.
37. Students are expected to take extreme care not to engage in improper or unhealthy behaviour with the members of the opposite sex in the campus and outside.
38. Students should be careful about the use of electricity and water. Students are permitted to iron their clothes only on Saturday and Sunday. Damages to any equipment and misuse will lead to penalisation.
39. A nominal fee of Five hundred rupees (Rs. 500/-) is charged from the second-year students for the computer training to meet the administrative expenses. Other students who are using computers of BBI should pay Rs. 500 per year.
40. Students who are having Laptop/Notebook, etc. should pay Rs. 500 per year to meet the electricity charges.
41. Due to Covid related restrictions, all students are expected to follow Covid protocol stipulated by the Government authorities.
42. Any type of nuisance will not be tolerated during the study hours and resting time.
43. During the free hours, all the students are expected to be found either in Library, class rooms or their respective rooms.
44. Students are not permitted to read the newspapers during the morning hours. They are permitted to read them during afternoon or evening free hours.
45. Unauthorised possession of BBI materials or equipments is a form of stealing.
46. Punctuality should be maintained at all times. Coming late for the food, classes, study times, chapel services etc. are punishable with a fine or imposition or both.

47. Each student should ensure that switches are made off when he leaves the place where light is used. Fan switches also may be made off promptly. They are not permitted to use the fans for drying the wet/ washed clothes.
48. All students should use Library during the study hour from 7.30-10.00 p.m.
49. During the meal time only one light need be on in the main building. Leaders are requested to see to this. Any delinquency will lead to fine to the leader responsible.
50. Students of the B.Th. Programme should write in the register before 10.30 p.m. if they want to study in the Study Area from 10.30 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. No such student is permitted to study after
11.30 p.m. However, P.G. students are permitted to study in the Dining Hall from 10.30 p.m. to 12.30 a.m. No P.G. student is permitted to study after 12.30 p.m.
51. Time between 6.30 to 6.45 a.m. should be separated for group prayer in the auditorium.
52. Playing cricket, football or any other games that would destroy the window glasses are not permitted.
53. Direct permission should be sought from the Principal before any student can do anything that requires approval. We do not allow anyone to take law into their hands.
54. Students should bring the fitness certificate from the medical officer when they return after the medical leave.
55. We do not take indiscipline lightly. The guilty parties shall be identified and suitable actions shall be taken against them if they do not come forward and confess their misdeeds voluntarily. Anyone who violates any of the above rules will be issued a memo. A person who receives three such notices may be suspended and/or dismissed.
56. Students are required to complete planned, supervised, and evaluated field education in a setting approved by the Principal. During the second-year summer vacation, a student should work with one of the graduates of BBI who is working in North India, North East India or North West India. A planned one-month ministry should be carried out with prior approval. In case of students who are doing a two-year programme, such field education should be completed during the first-year summer

57. All the students should have discipline even in their appearance. They are expected to wear proper dress code during the class hours and special chapel services.
a. The shirt should be tucked-in and properly dressed.
b. Jeans, t-shirts, dhotis, half pants are not permitted.
c. Decent and moderate hair style and side lock should be followed.
d. Name badge should be worn every class hour. This should be followed during special
chapel where the guests are presented.
e. Slippers or flip-flop will not be allowed in the class.
Any violation of dress code rules will be seriously taken and fine for each violation Rs. 100/ will be imposed.
58. All new students should pay Rs. 500 for ID Card, examination papers, etc. This amount will be collected by the Registrar.
59. BBI reserves the right to amend or add to the rules and regulations as and when deemed necessary, and the students are expected to abide by them also.
