Why does BBI exist? What would be lost if we didn’t? what can only we do? BBI was founded by visionaries among the assemblies who saw a great need to teach the Bible to future servant-leaders of our movement. Young men from a wide variety of backgrounds moved to Pathanamthitta, Kerala to immerse themselves in the study of Scripture from gifted Bible teachers. BBI had a humble beginning in a small facility in the heart of Pathanamthitta town before relocating to the new Campus in 2009.

What is so special about BBI? There is no better place to be transformed by the Word. There is no better Bible Institute to learn from the perspective of New Testament principles.

Fast-forward to 2022, BBI is now a fully equipped Theological Institute in all respects. More students are studying more Bible than ever before. Gifted Bible Teachers from assemblies around the world visit BBI campus. There is no better place to learn the Scriptures from the perspective of New Testament principles. The faculty is dedicated and interested in discipling students.

There are many places to study the Bible, but only one college does what BBI does. I believe our Assemblies need skilled, trained servant leaders. We particularly need skilled shepherds and teachers. I believe we must biblically educate the next generation of servant leaders for our local assemblies. This is the reason BBI exists. Our education focuses on the Bible and Theology. We seek to fulfil Apostle Paul’s command to Timothy: “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the Word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

I challenge the local assemblies to consider the eternal benefits of supporting young men to attend BBI. It is our best hope that the young brothers from our Assemblies who have attended BBI will continue to walk on the right road for the rest of their lives. “I have no greater joy than to hear my children walk in truth.” (3 John v.4)
